Profile
Tyler Smith has been very impressive this season for the Ignite. Offensively, Smith has shown a little big of everything. He does a good job of initiating the offense out of the high post. He is solid at attacking off the dribble as well as knocking down jump shots. I also have been impressed with how well he passes to cutters and is able to make passes from the post. On the defensive side of the ball, he is still very raw. I don’t hold this against him as much of others because his only other stop post high school was with the Overtime Elite league. OTE and the G League Ignite have done a poor job developing defenders so I believe this can improve over time. His instincts are also questionable at times, but when placed and developed in a more defined role, I could see Smith figuring out how to be more effective on the defensive end.
