Profile
Alex Sarr is a name that has been floating around as a potential number 1 pick for a while now and it’s easy to see why. Sarr is a raw prospect and may require a team with patience to reach his full potential, but the ceiling is very high. The current NBA almost requires bigs to move laterally due to the spacing which is at an all time high. Sarr is a switchable defender and a great interior presence on both ends of the court. Only playing 17 mpg, he is still able to put up productive numbers. A lot of people believe in his jump shot improving, but his form does look like it will take quite a while to straighten out. Sarr also attacks off the dribble and pushes in transition, but I do think that he will need to improve his handle to do this as effectively at the next level. Sarr should be able to defend the majority of 3-5’s in the NBA. His physical tools are remarkable and seem to be continuing to improve. He flashes strong finishing ability more and more over time.
