Carlton "Bub" Carrington - Pittsburgh

Profile

Carlton “Bub” Carrington is a high-energy, electrifying guard prospect. Bub burst onto the scene by dropping a triple-double in his college debut. He is an explosive and deceptive ball-handler which plays to his ability to create his own shot. Often times using dribble pull-ups in the mid range to create separation, Bub should be able to translate this to the NBA level if he continues to improve on this. While struggling to shoot consistently from three, Bub should see this even out over time because I am a big believer in his mechanics. I have put most of the blame more-so on the looks he is attempting rather than overall shooting ability. Finishing at the rim has been one area that he will definitely need to improve, but he has shown promise in drawing help defenders before dumping the ball off to teammates under the rim.. On defense, Bub has struggled. He is not much of a physical player. He also seems to struggle with rotations at times. If Bub is able to gain some strength and better understand defensive systems, there’s no reason that he should not have a long NBA career.
