DJ Wagner is one of the higher-upside prospects for me in this class. He has really impressed me this season with his creativity while driving. He attacks the rim as well as any guard prospect in this class for me. While he is taller, his bag while attacking has reminded me of Darius Garland. Showcasing solid touch around the rim has also been impressive, but he primarily plays below the rim and struggles at times against length. The jump shooting has been promising at best, but I do buy this improving. On defense he has good physical tools, but the Kentucky defense all-around this season has made it difficult for him to excel at times. I see the best scenario for Wagner would be if he got drafted onto a rebuilding team so that he can handle the ball and adjust to the NBA game on his own time.
