Baylor Scheierman is one of, if not the, best shooting prospects in this class. He has solid size as a spot up shooter and has done an impressive job of keeping his form consistent regardless of where or how he gets his looks. Scheierman has more to his game than just shooting, but I see this as his specialty at the next level. He is an impressive rebounder despite his lack of elite athleticism. I’ve seen quite a few times when he gets good positioning early in order to negate bigger opponents. The overall feel for the game is really well developed and should be able to function in the NBA as early as his rookie year. Defensively, he may not ever develop into a stopper, but I would expect him to be put into positions of guarding the other team’s worst offensive player just to ensure that his shooting will be available on the other end.
