Profile
Mark Sears is an all-around offensive monster. He is a little undersized, but has found ways to use this to his advantage when creating for himself and others. Sears is one of the best catch-and-shoot scorers in the country this season and is also very effective at attacking closeouts. While driving, Sears is not an overwhelming athlete but explodes off of two feet to better absorb contact and finish with his strong hand. His off-hand scoring is not something that he uses often, but is crafty enough to either get back to his land hand or dump off to his big men when their defender helps. I think his official measurements will play a big role in where he is drafted, but the recent success of under-sized guards such as Trae Young and Jalen Brunson has to make you give extremely productive players like Sears a closer look at what they are able to do rather than their limitations.
