Profile
Justin Edwards was one of my top prospects coming into the year, but unfortunately, got left behind early on this season by Kentucky’s other outstanding freshmen. Edwards has natural NBA athleticism and size, but will need to work on nearly every other aspect of the game. He does seem to have good instincts but struggles with basketball IQ. He is a low-floor high-ceiling type of player and this is why his draft range has been all over the place. The shooting form is promising but will require more consistency in order to be a threat. One of the better project players in this class, but will more likely require patience from whatever team takes a chance on him. On the defensive end he does a good job of attacking the ball. He has been able to improve over the course of the season and could use a strong March Madness run to propel himself back into top-20 discussions.
