Terrence Shannon Jr - Illinois

Profile

Terrence Shannon Jr has been a pretty well-known name in college basketball for quite a while now. He is a gifted scorer who has steadily improved throughout his time in college. Shannon drives hard and does a great job of getting to the rim. This does lead to him getting out of control when attacking downhill at times, but I think that if he is able to improve his ball handling he should fix a lot of these problems. Shannon is a good shooter, but primarily wants to shoot going to his left. If he does pull up going right, it’s almost always after just one or two dribbles. He also has shown great passing flashes, but will need to process opposing defenses faster to keep this up in the NBA. Defensively, he is an active wing defender on-ball and should be effective at the next level as well. He does get out of positions at times or even lose his balance, but I would expect to see fewer of these mistakes once some of the offensive load is taken off his plate.
