Profile
Tyler Kolek is one of, if not the, best playmakers in the nation. His lack of size and vertical athleticism has raised a lot of questions, but it’s nearly impossible to argue against his skill. His ability to run an offense can’t be questioned as he holds Marquette’s all-time assist record. Kolek is also a very efficient shooter. The form is not perfect, but it works and should even be able to improve. One of the biggest factors in my mind for Kolek transitioning to the NBA is his competitiveness. He shines in big matchups and remains calm under pressure. Defensively, he is not a stopper by any means, but his ability to read opposing offenses combined with his aggression makes for a surprisingly effective defender at least at the college level.
